OSCo's 3rd Safe Visit (Longlife Learning Centre)

6th February 2021, Saturday, Lambak Kanan - A safe visit was successfully organised by OSCo, Saturday at one of the Ministry of Education's Campus, Lifelong Learning Centre (L3C) in RPN Kg. Lambak Kanan, hosted by Lifelong Learning Boards and in collaborations with Oiltown Safety Committee (OSCo).


The safe visit was led by the Chairman of OSCo, Awang Syarqawi Sunarto and L3C's Head of Administration and Finance Division, Awang Muhammad Farid Hakkim bin Haji Kamarhan and joined by 20 other members of the OSCo and L3C representatives comprises of board members and management staff.

The safe visit is considerably marked as a milestone for Oiltown Safety Committee amid their first organised meeting with Government Institute, whereas the objective of this visit was held to contribute strong support towards Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment (QHSSE).

Despite spreading the concern on safety awareness and demonstrating the importance of safety practices in industrial field, the visit was also held to assist L3C in improving and providing recommendations for their facilities in the campus.


With this visit, it will ensure the buildings and facilities are safe to be fully operated and occupied by public, mainly students and staff.

OSCo is an NGO committee consisting of more than 150 registered members which comprises of professional and experienced workers and uniformed personnel in Brunei, mainly emphasize in Oil and Gas industry as well as Enforcement. The committee main goal is to spread safety awareness (QHSSE) to community in hoping safety is the first priority in everyday lives.

The Committee Members volunteering for Neighborhood Watch

Ever heard of 'Pengawas Kejiranan Kampong' before?

From time to time, a dozens of volunteers from Oiltown Safety Committee participated the Neighborhood Watch programs which to patrol and protecting the villages from crooks and crimes. once in a month they will do a patrol together with RBPF (PK) Units and the Head of Villages to walk or drive around the villages at midnights just to ensure there's no criminal activities being done within the neighborhood.

Connections and Networking within the District by sharing useful information to fight crimes are very much appreciated in keeping the neighborhood safe and peaceful.




OSCo's First Safe Visit!

KG. SUNGAI LIANG, AUGUST 29 - A total of 7 OSCo Volunteered Members has participated in a 'Safe Visit' program to the largest brick factory and supplier in Brunei Darussalam, located in Kampung Sungai Liang, Jalan Labi, Belait. The half-day visiting program is to teach our HSE Generalist and team on how to identify hazards in each job and how to control the risks from those hazards. Volunteers are given the opportunity as well as trained to familiarize themselves and take practical experience to ensure that the workplace is always in a safe condition. Through the Safe Visit program as well, PYP Development Sdn Bhd also learned some new stuff like MSDS and how to control few of their overlooked hazards throughout their operations. With the initiative between companies and volunteers like this, together we can continue to improve and maintain the safety of all employees in Brunei Darussalam.

OSCo is a newly formed non-governmental organization of Bruneian Youth in an effort to improve and spread the knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment (QHSSE) in Brunei Darussalam and Neighboring Countries on a voluntary basis. Everyone who wants to learn or teach to increase awareness and importance of QHSSE in Asia are welcome to join this organization at no cost. Collaboration of OSCo and CDH with Tutelage Supports for Opportunities and Self Development Programmes

BRUNEI DARUSSALAM, Gadong, Bandar Seri Begawan, 22nd August 2020 -

both OSCo and CDH collaborated together to form an Opportunities and Self Development Sessions with the supports from Tutelage Sdn Bhd. 

As what the Chairman of OSCo mentioned during his part, this is to synchronise everyone's knowledge together. Do watch the video attached below for more understandings.

a group of OSCo Members attending Tutelage Sdn Bhd's First Dry Run Training

BRUNEI DARUSSALAM, Gadong, Bandar Seri Begawan, 4th July 2020 - 

Tutelage Sdn Bhd is a new Training Center which is based at Gadong in Brunei-Muara District. on the 4th of July, 2020.  they invited 8 volunteers from Oiltown Safety Committee to come and try out how they operate their Training Center. 


Jasni Hj Narawi (CEO of Career Development Hub) standing in-front of the class, explaining how the collaborations of Career Development Hub and Tutelage Sdn Bhd process of working together to the 8 participants.

The class was started at 0800hrs and finished around 1600hrs in the afternoon. The class was held by Syarqawi Sunarto, Lead Instructor from Tutelage Sdn Bhd. The topic that they went through was regarding the Basic Hazard Awareness.


Oiltown Safety Committee members who attended receives certificates from both Tutelage Sdn Bhd and Career Development Hub.

Donations for Late Wahjudi's Family

BRUNEI DARUSSALAM, Kuala Belait, 2nd May 2020 - 
on the 24th April, just a day before we celebrate our fasting month of Ramadhan. we lost one of our member, Wahjudi an instructor who taught liftings & hoistings in Adinin Training & Development Centre. he left a housewife and a beautiful son aged 8 years old who currently studying in Chung Hua, KB. currently there's no tickets to fly to Indonesia due to this Covid-19 situations, so they have to wait at least til' end of May for any available tickets to go back to Surabaya, Indonesia.
